First, we’d like to inform you that the SocialMonkee Firefox plugin is now compatible Firefox 6. To update the plugin, go to the Submit Section, click the Download button and re-install the extension. Then restart Firefox and make sure the Add-on Bar is turned on.
Now back to the main topic of this post… As you probably already know, as a Free Member you can submit 1 URL to 25 sites every day, and as a Premium Member you can submit 3 URLs to 100 sites every day. To upgrade to Premium, you can either opt for the low one-time investment of $47 or refer 12 (active) members to SocialMonkee.
If you’re in a hurry or just don’t want to bother referring 12 members, the best option is to go for the one-time investment of $47. A one-time payment of $47 for a Lifetime Premium upgrade is pretty darn cheap! However, if you have a list you can email or a site or blog that receives a decent amount of traffic, then you should try to get a free Premium upgrade by referring 12 members.
Your affiliate link is located in the header of the site inside the Members Area. Right below the link is the number of (active) referrals you made so far. Now if you don’t know how to get started, here are a few ideas that will help you refer 12 members to SocialMonkee quickly:
Step 1 – Use Our Promo Tools: First, you should visit the Promo Tools Section inside the Members Area. There are a few banners that you can use on your site, as well as a blog post copy that you can publish on your blog, and email copies that you can use to send to your list. Feel free to edit/alter them as much as you want! If you don’t have a list, we highly suggest that you sign up to a list builders like:
- ViralUrl
- ViralHosts

These sites are great if you want to access a whole new world of prospects to promote your own (or affiliate) products to, and of course your SocialMonkee affiliate link so you can refer members to the site and get a free Premium upgrade. This is actually how SocialMonkee started to grow very fast: with emails sent to random members of the list builders mentioned above (among a few others).
Step 2 – Email & Forum Signature: Add your SocialMonkee affiliate link to your email signature and to the signature of the discussion boards you participate in. Try to write a catchy call-to-action in the lines of ‘Want to Build 25 Backlinks to Your Pages Every Day, Free? Click Here to Get Started…’ Make sure you replace the link with your own affiliate link.
We tried this technique ourselves on the Warrior Forum, and got exactly 7 referrals in 5 days by posting one message a day (and with less than 100 messages in total). This is one of the easiest ways to refer members to SocialMonkee. It doesn’t cost a single dime, it takes less than a minute to put in place, and it works.
Step 3 – Share on Facebook, Twitter & Google+: Inside the Members Area you will find Facebook and Twitter buttons. Those have your affiliate link built-in, which means that when clicking them, a status update is published on your Facebook wall or Twitter feed with your affiliate link in it. These are great if you have a lot of friends interested in what you do on Facebook or a lot of followers on Twitter, and this way should get you a few extra referrals easily… Don’t forget to share your affiliate link on your Google+ wall as well.
Step 4 – Create a Web 2.0 Page: Building a page on Squidoo or HubPages can help you raise awareness about SocialMonkee and as a consequence refer members to the site. You could write a review of SocialMonkee, and/or talk about the features and benefits, how you use the system.. Just make sure the content doesn’t sound too salesy as both sites don’t really like overly promotional content.
Step 5 – Update Your Status on Skype: As you may know, you can now share a status on Skype. Feel free to leave a short message about SocialMonkee and your affiliate link in there. Your contacts are likely to ask you about it and in that case it’s almost a guaranteed referral! If they have technical questions, feel free to point them to our help desk at Reply2Colin.com
There are of course plenty of other ways to refer members to SocialMonkee, like emailing your friends and colleagues, posting messages about SocialMonkee on discussion boards, write a review and submit it to Ezine Articles… Remember though, if you don’t want to bother, you can upgrade now for $47 (Lifetime) via the Upgrade Section.

- If you refer people but they don’t show up as referrals inside the Members Area, this is most likely because they didn’t activate their account. We only count active referrals.
